The WE-407/23 has improved processing accuracy, achieving ultra-high precision of less than ±1/500mm. In addition, the latest high-precision processing technology and hand processing, which can be said to be a work of art, have succeeded in miniaturizing the double knife edge, obtaining flexibility for high compliance and lightweight cartridges.

The bearing part that supports the knife edge is concealed by ultra-precise cutting of hard steel material, and is designed not to shift or float up under any force.

This mechanism also has Saeku's unique automatic needle pressure micro-increase mechanism, which increases the needle pressure as it moves toward the inner circumference of the record. By preventing the needle tip from floating up, especially at the inner circumference, it stabilizes the high range and enables playback with less distortion.
