Western Electric 91A type amplifier replica version. manufactured based on original 30 year Western Electric WE91A tube amplifier. Output power 8W/channel.
The big problem of this amplifier is using 310A tube which is very difficult to be found and with very expensive price. And my solution is using 6J7G as a replacement. You can choose 6JS7 or another tube, of course you can order to use 310A as original.
In original schematic, there is no filter choke, it bring much hum noise as using with high sensitive speaker. This amplifier use filter choke to make the noise low at 1mV, It is very good number when 300B heater is AC direct heat. You can even lower the noise if using DC heater but to keep the sound of amplifier closest to original sound, I keep original schematic using AC heater.Compare with the orignal amp with hum level 5~7mV, it is very good level.
Wiring use America teflon silver plated wire.
